Vaccinations
High PriorityYellow fever certificate is required for entry from endemic countries. Recommended: Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, Tetanus, Rabies (if trekking). Consult a travel health clinic.
Food & Water Safety
ImportantDrink only bottled or treated water. Avoid ice in drinks outside lodges. Lodges and camps provide safe filtered water. Fruit and vegetables washed in clean water are safe.
Travel Insurance
High PriorityComprehensive travel insurance including medical evacuation is mandatory for all our safaris. Ensure your policy covers wildlife activities, gorilla trekking, and emergency airlifts.
Altitude
Good to KnowGorilla trekking in Bwindi (1,160–2,607m) and Volcanoes NP can be strenuous. Allow time to acclimatise. Discuss fitness requirements with our team before booking.
Wildlife Safety
ImportantAlways follow your guide's instructions around wildlife. Never exit a vehicle in open game areas without permission. Maintain recommended distances. Our guides are trained in wildlife safety protocols.
Sun & Heat
Good to KnowEquatorial sun is intense year-round. Apply SPF 50+ sunscreen daily, stay hydrated, wear a hat, and rest during peak heat (12–3pm) when wildlife activity is lower anyway.
