Day 1:      Entebbe

Set on the shores of Lake Victoria, Entebbe is a small town that is easy to explore including the markets, hunt for souvenirs or crafts, meander through the Botanical Gardens, or relax with a boat cruise on Lake Victoria. You’ll find a wide variety of restaurants and meet friendly locals.

Day Itinerary

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport where you will be met by Emburara Safaris and Lodges representative, and transfer to your accommodation. Optional activities available like the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary visit, Lake Victoria boat sunset cruise, botanical gardens visit among others.

Day 2:    Lake Mburo National Park – Emburara Farm Lodge

Lake Mburo National Park

The park is known for its landscape painted with rolling hills, acacia trees, and vast savannahs. Venture into the park and you will discover it’s a nature lover’s dream with a blend of wildlife from roaming Zebras and Impalas to Hippos and Buffalos including the lake itself which adds a touch of tranquillity to the scenery.

Day Itinerary

After breakfast, depart Entebbe and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, Approx. 3hours drive. En route the game drive and have lunch at Mihingo Lodge. Embark on the afternoon boat ride and look out for crocodiles, buffalos, hippos, and various bird species. Later drive to Emburara Farm Lodge approx. 1 hour drive. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3:    Emburara Farm Lodge Mbarara, Western Uganda

Day Itinerary

This area is famous for its Ankole culture, heritage, and extreme beauty.

Early morning by 6:30 am, you will be treated to some Farm activities including Okukama (Milking), Okuriisa (Herding Cattle), Okweshera (taking the cows to the watering trough), and any other activities that increase one’s appreciation of the Ankole Cow. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure and later a sundowner bonfire as a climax to the exciting cultural experience.

Day 4:   Emburara Farm lodge – Entebbe

DAY 1: Nairobi, Kenya

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International airport, you will disembark off the aircraft and meet our guest representative and transfer to the hotel for meals and overnight. DAY 2: Nairobi Experience

Start your day with a visit at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust- an orphanage that pioneered techniques for raising orphaned elephants and rhinos and reintroducing them back to the wild. Proceed with a visit at the giraffe centre where you can observe and hand-feed or even kiss one of the giraffes from a wooden structure. A game drive in Nairobi National Park is worth rewarding. The park is home to abundant wildlife which can viewed against the backdrop of city skyscrapers and it is the only national park on earth that borders a capital city.Meals and overnight at the hotel

DAY 3: Transfer to Masai Mara

Check out and transfer to Maasai Mara by road/flight. On arrival, check in your rooms and return for lunch followed by sunset game drives. A special feature of Maasai Mara is the availability of relaxed and informative game drives- the star attraction is watching the wildebeest migration. You will also have an opportunity to spot herds of Zebras, Impalas, Elands, Reedbucks, Black Rhinos, African Elephants, Maasai Giraffes and several species of Gazelles that call all the short- grass plains and acacia woodland of Mara home. DAY 7: Life of Ankole Herdsman

Start the day with tea or coffee and join the farm guide who will take you through the Ankole Herdsman farmdictionary as you spend a portion of your day on the farm following the cows with meals served in the bush. DAY 8: Chimpanzee Habituation Experience at kibale national Park

Breakfast, with picnic lunch transfer to Kibale National Park for your chimpanzee tracking adventure in the forest. The driving distance from Emburara Farm Lodge is approximately 2 hours. On arrival at the park headquarters, you will grow the registration and briefing process. As you embark on the search of habituated chimpanzees, keep an eye out for other primates such as L’Hoest’s red colobus, red tailed and blue monkeys and grey cheeked mangabeys. Walk through the trails as you listen to an informative chat from your guide learning about the secrets of the forest’s flora and fauna. Walk back to your waiting vehicle and drive to nearby lodge for coffee or any beverage of your choice. Later proceed with your drive back to the Lodge arriving in time for dinner and overnight.

DAY 9: Boat Trip on Kazinga Channel and transfer to Ishasha

Check out for your drive to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park via MweyaPenisula for a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel. This 36km channel is an oasis for many species of mammals and birds that call Queen Elizabeth National Park home. The cruise is approximately 2 hours as you watch resident birds, herds of elephants, hippos and buffalos lie on the shore of the channel.
Lunch will be served at the nearby lodge and later proceed with your drive to Ishasha plains with a game drive enroute to your host property arriving in time for dinner. Dinner & overnight at Ishasha Wilderness Camp Ishasha Wilderness Camp is situated within the Southern Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the Ntungwe river, an idyllic retreat for people who truly enjoy the wilderness. This exclusive camp offers superb quality accommodation and services in this unspoilt remote sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park famous for its tree climbing lions that can sometimes be spotted resting in the branches of the large fig trees in the area.

DAY 10: Transfer to Bwindi Forest Home of Gorillas

DAY 11: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is famous for Mountain Gorilla population and one of Uganda’s most national park and home to roughly half of the world’s last remaining gorillas. DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1: Transfer by flight ahead to Kidepo Valley National Park

After breakfast at the overnight accommodation transfer to Kajjansi airfield/Entebbe airport for a flight north of the country to KVNP. Enjoy an aerial view of the Pearl of Africa on your flight to Kidepo at Lomej airstrip. A mid-morning community encounter of the Karamajong culture, dress style, life style and performance. Lunch at the lodge and have a close range evening encounter with the game around Apoka. Full Board. Overnight: Apoka game lodge (luxury) or Ngamoru wilderness camp (mid-market)or UWA Bandas (basic).

DAY 2: Game drive in the park and mountain climbing /hiking

Start at breakfast, head for a 2-3hrs drive exploring the park’s diversity. The game drive through the Narus valley or Katurum Kopje presents opportune moments to spot Rothschild’s giraffes, bulbul reedbucks and elephants among others. Lunch at the lodge and later hike to some of the ranges with stunning experiences of the sunset below the Karamajong region. Full board, overnight at the lodge.

DAY 3: Depart Kidepo -south west ahead to Murchison-About 6hrs driving time

Take breakfast early enough at the lodge, check out and embark on the drive from Kidepo to Murchison Falls. Enjoy a lovely drive through Acholi-land via Kitgum and Gulu. Lunch will be en-route, arrive in the park late afternoon or evening.

DAY 4: Launch Trip, Hike top of the falls and evening game viewing

A delightful start of your day with early breakfast at the lodge, head to Paraa for a launch cruise of about 2/3hrs upstream along the Nile presenting you astonishing display of wildlife including birds and mammals. The trip leads you to the bottom of the falls. Head for a hike to the top of the falls at Bakers point, here you will see and hear the Nile explode through a7m gorge with roaring sounds. Have lunch at the lodge. Later, A game drive on the northern bank in the evening to track the great game including the big five, Overnight at the lodge, Full Board

DAY 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Budongo and travel back to Kampala /Entebbe

Start with an early breakfast at the lodge, check-out and transfer south wards of the park to Budongo forest reserve-Kaniyo Pabidi section for a memorable sign-out tracking-experience of the chimpanzee. Enjoying the backdrop sounds of nature, hope to spot other primates on the walk through the reserve such as Olive baboons, blue monkey and birds including those endemic here. Lunch in Masindi town and drive back to Kampala or Entebbe

DAY 1: Arrival

On arrival at Entebbe International airport and transfer to the resort for overnight. Meals & overnight at Lake Victoria Serena Hotel. Lake Victoria Serena resort is beautifully situated on the shores of Africa’s largest fresh water body lake- the Victoria. The property celebrates its surroundings with an experience steeped in Tuscan country charm and is 35 minutes from the metropolitan city of Kampala and Uganda’s only international airport in Entebbe.

DAY 2: Mabamba Swamp and sunset Cruise

After a hearty breakfast, join your naturalist driver guide and transfer to Mabamba Swam. On arrival embark on a canoe as you navigate waterways of Lake Victoria’s papyrus swamp to spot the elusive shoebill stock. Drive back to the resort and relax by the pool side followed by hot lunch. Later in the afternoon you will transfer to Entebbe for the behind the scenes experience at the Uganda Wildlife Centre and followed by the sunset cruise on Lake Victoria. DAY 3: Transfer to Jinja – Source of the nile

Late breakfast and check out for your transfer to Jinja“ the source of the Nile” driving through Kampala City. You will spend a portion of your day ticking off Kampala city highlights and sampling local dishes. Later proceed with your drive to the breathtakingWildwaters Lodge for dinner and overnight. Wildwaters Lodge is situated in a luxuriant rainforest on its own private island, mid- stream in the mighty Nile. The expansive, canvas walled, traditionally thatched rooms have private decks with elegant free-standing baths and wash basins carved from the local pink granite.

DAY 4: Breakfast at the source of the nile

Transfer to the pier and embark on a motorised boat to the source of the Nile with breakfast served on board. Later in the day, you have an option of riding horses along the Nile or ride a bike.

DAY 5: Transfer to Murchison National Park

Check out and embark your transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziiwa Rhino Sanctuary – a proud home of the only wild white rhinos in Uganda. Proceed with your drive to Paraa Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight. Situated on the bank of the Nile River, Paraa Safari Lodge offers a unique blend of comfort, relaxation and adventure. The lodge has a great location and views, as well as excellent facilities such as a swim-up bar. DAY 6: Murchison Falls Highlights

Early breakfast, start your day with a morning game drive in Buligi area to spot the big cats and a boat cruise to the bottom of the Murchison Falls. Meals & overnight at the lodge

DAY 7: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Early rise, check out with picnic lunch and transfer to Kibale National Park driving along the escarpment of the western arm of the rift valley arriving at your host lodge in time for dinner and overnight. Situated on the shores of Lake where it derives its name, Kyaninga Lodge cottages are crafted from hand carved logs, superb dining and a wealth of adventures await.

DAY 8: Chimpanzee Habituation Experience

Another early rise and breakfast, prepare to transfer to Kibale National Park for chimpanzee habituation experience. On arrival, report to Kanyunchu ranger station for briefing and your guide for a walk inside the forest on a full day chimpanzee habituation experience. You will follow them closely as the play throughout the day until when they nest returning back to your lodge in time for dinner and overnight.

DAY 9: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Breakfast and check out followed by hot lunch. Driving at your own pace, transfer to host lodge in Queen Elizabeth with a sunset game drive in Kasenyi plains. Proceed with your drive to Mweya Safari Lodge arriving in time for dinner and overnight

DAY 10:Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start your day with the Lion research experience followed by a drive to the pelican point. This remote grassland enjoys excellent views across Lake Edward and you will appreciate why it was proposed the park’s first lodge before the construction of Mweya Safari Lodge. Meals and overnight at the lodge

DAY 11: Safari to Bwindi Forest National Park

Check out and embark on a safari drive to Bwindi Impenetrable national park via Ishasha sector to spot tree climbing lions in their natural habitat. DAY 15: Onward to Entebbe and horse ride at Lake Mburo National Park

Check out for your transfer back to Entebbe driving via Lake National Park for horseback safari. In the middle of an extensive rich acacia woodland lies one of Uganda’s most spectacular and breathtaking game parks in Uganda; Lake Mburo. The park is remarkably different from other parks. It is the best park to view the gigantic eland antelope, impala, zebras and acacia associated birds. Common mammal species include Giraffe, Zebra, Buffalo, Water bucks, Oribi, Defassa. DAY 1: Arusha, Tanzanaia

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International airport and transfer to your hotel for meals and overnight at Arusha Coffee Lodge Located on the gently rolling foothills that cascade down from the ever- present Mount Meru is the bustling and vibrant town of Arusha also famous for being the safari capital of East Africa. DAY 2: Arusha City Tour & Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Breakfast and spend a portion of your day at the poolside and shed off the jet lug. Later, check out and transfer to Tarangire National Park. Or have an early check out, time permitting take advantage of the opportunity to see more of the sights and sounds of Arusha before you proceed to your host camp for meals and overnight at Ang’ataTarangire Camp

Ang’ataTarangire Camp is situated in the heart of Tarangire National Park overseeing Tarangire River and has a 180 degrees views towards Tarangire Hill. Only 5Km away from Silale Swamp Plains that hosts thousands of African Elephants, the park is also famous for its large concetration of big game, tree climbing lions, kudus and the very elusive Oryx can be spotted in Tarangire.

DAY 3: Nature Walk & Wildlife Viewing in Tarangire National Park

Start the day with a game drive to the northern triangle area of Tarangire National Park bordered by the Tarangire River. During the dry spell, the park is famous for being host to the second highest after Serengeti concertation of big game of any Tanzanian National Parks. There’s an option of combining day walking safaris and night game drives and experience the wild in its full splendour. Meals and overnight at the Camp.

DAY 4: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater

On arrival in Entebbe, Uganda, clear with immigration and meet our representative for your transfer to The Boma hotel for dinner and overnight. The hotel is set in tropical leafy gardens a few minutes from Entebbe International Airport and its rooms combine the modern comforts one expects today with the charm and character of the original 1940’s home keeping with the tradition of this charming lakeshore town.

DAY 7: Ballon Safaris & Wildlife Viewing

Start your day with a balloon safari flying over some sections of the Serengeti plains followed by bush breakfast. DAY 8: Fly to Stone Town, Zanzibar

DAY 11: The Safari Blue Experience

Early rise, breakfast and transfer to Fumba town for a full day Safari Blue Experience. You will spend a full day exploring the Menai Bay conservation area in a traditional wooden dhow. Day highlights include: swimming and guided snorkelling in the beautiful clear waters, swim in the hidden mangrove lagoon, feast on Swahili seafood barbecue and watch dolphins at play. DAY 12: On ward Flight

DAY 1: Arrival

On arrival at Entebbe International airport and transfer to the resort for overnight. Meals & overnight at Lake Victoria Serena Hotel. Lake Victoria Serena resort is beautifully situated on the shores of Africa’s largest fresh water body lake- the Victoria. The property celebrates its surroundings with an experience steeped in Tuscan country charm and is 35 minutes from the metropolitan city of Kampala and Uganda’s only international airport in Entebbe.

DAY 2: Mabamba Swamp and sunset Cruise

After a hearty breakfast, join your naturalist driver guide and transfer to Mabamba Swam. On arrival embark on a canoe as you navigate waterways of Lake Victoria’s papyrus swamp to spot the elusive shoebill stock. Drive back to the resort and relax by the pool side followed by hot lunch. Later in the afternoon you will transfer to Entebbe for the behind the scenes experience at the Uganda Wildlife Centre and followed by the sunset cruise on Lake Victoria. DAY 3: Transfer to Jinja – Source of the nile

Late breakfast and check out for your transfer to Jinja“ the source of the Nile” driving through Kampala City. You will spend a portion of your day ticking off Kampala city highlights and sampling local dishes. Later proceed with your drive to the breathtakingWildwaters Lodge for dinner and overnight. Wildwaters Lodge is situated in a luxuriant rainforest on its own private island, mid- stream in the mighty Nile. The expansive, canvas walled, traditionally thatched rooms have private decks with elegant free-standing baths and wash basins carved from the local pink granite.

DAY 4: Breakfast at the source of the nile

Transfer to the pier and embark on a motorised boat to the source of the Nile with breakfast served on board. Later in the day, you have an option of riding horses along the Nile or ride a bike.

DAY 5: Transfer to Murchison National Park

Check out and embark your transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziiwa Rhino Sanctuary – a proud home of the only wild white rhinos in Uganda. Proceed with your drive to Paraa Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight. Situated on the bank of the Nile River, Paraa Safari Lodge offers a unique blend of comfort, relaxation and adventure. The lodge has a great location and views, as well as excellent facilities such as a swim-up bar. Paraa Safari Lodge offers a choice of fine dining throughout one’s stay, and the Explorer’s bar is the ideal watering hole after a day of wildlife discovery in Murchison Falls National Park.

DAY 6: Murchison Falls Highlights

Early breakfast, start your day with a morning game drive in Buligi area to spot the big cats and a boat cruise to the bottom of the Murchison Falls. Meals & overnight at the lodge

DAY 7: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Early rise, check out with picnic lunch and transfer to Kibale National Park driving along the escarpment of the western arm of the rift valley arriving at your host lodge in time for dinner and overnight. Situated on the shores of Lake where it derives its name, Kyaninga Lodge cottages are crafted from hand carved logs, superb dining and a wealth of adventures await.

DAY 8: Chimpanzee Habituation Experience

Another early rise and breakfast, prepare to transfer to Kibale National Park for chimpanzee habituation experience. On arrival, report to Kanyunchu ranger station for briefing and your guide for a walk inside the forest on a full day chimpanzee habituation experience. You will follow them closely as the play throughout the day until when they nest returning back to your lodge in time for dinner and overnight.

DAY 9: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Breakfast and check out followed by hot lunch. Driving at your own pace, transfer to host lodge in Queen Elizabeth with a sunset game drive in Kasenyi plains. Proceed with your drive to Mweya Safari Lodge arriving in time for dinner and overnight

DAY 10:Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start your day with the Lion research experience followed by a drive to the pelican point. This remote grassland enjoys excellent views across Lake Edward and you will appreciate why it was proposed the park’s first lodge before the construction of Mweya Safari Lodge. Meals and overnight at the lodge

DAY 11: Safari to Bwindi Forest National Park

Check out and embark on a safari drive to Bwindi Impenetrable national park via Ishasha sector to spot tree climbing lions in their natural habitat. With hot lunch break on the bank side of the seasonal Ishasha river then set off for Bwindi enjoying the evening sunset arriving drive to your host lodge in Bwindi Lodge arriving in time for dinner Overlooking the primeval Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge is the finest luxury lodge at Bwindi. DAY 12: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is famous for Mountain Gorilla population and one of Uganda’s most national park and home to roughly half of the world’s last remaining gorillas. Term permitting, you will visit the Gorilla Health and community conservation centre and join veterinary doctors to analyze samples from gorillas. Meals and overnight at the Lodge

DAY 13: Transfer to Emburara Farm Lodge

Breakfast, check out and transfer to Emburara Farm Lodge through the rolling hills of south western Uganda arriving in time for late lunch. Emburara Farm Lodge is a 27 suite boutique property set on a cattle farm in Mbarara, Ankole, in Western Uganda. It overlooks undulating landscapes and lush greenery. DAY 14: life of the ankole herdsman

Emburara Farm Lodge has an inspiring story about a day in the life of an Ankole herdsman. It is the only country Lodge that is home to the long horned Ankole Cattle. Start the day with tea or coffee and join the farm guide who will take you through the Ankole Herdsman farm dictionary as you spend a portion of your day on the farm following the cows with meals served in the bush. DAY 15: Onward to Entebbe and horse ride at Lake Mburo National Park

Check out for your transfer back to Entebbe driving via Lake National Park for horseback safari. In the middle of an extensive rich acacia woodland lies one of Uganda’s most spectacular and breathtaking game parks in Uganda; Lake Mburo. The park is remarkably different from other parks. It is the best park to view the gigantic eland antelope, impala, zebras and acacia associated birds. Common mammal species include Giraffe, Zebra, Buffalo, Water bucks, Oribi, Defassa. DAY 16: Relaxation and onward flight

Late breakfast, you will spend the morning relaxing by the poolside followed by farewell lunch. Your driver guide will collect you from the resort and transfer back to Entebbe International airport in time for your onward flight back home.
