1 Day Mountain Gorillas Trekking in Rwanda

This one day gorilla trekking trip in Rwanda is best taken when a visitor is already in Rwanda. The safari requires very early pick up and late drop off. The gorilla groups are allocated to the guests at random at the park headquarters. Fortunately for you, our experienced guides have over time built a strong relationship with the park wardens which gives our safari great access! Come explore Africa with us!

Day 1:

You will be picked-up at 4:30 am and take off for a 2 hour picturesque drive to Volcanoes National Park found in Musanze province on your way to the habitat of endangered mountain gorillas. Upon arrival, you will enjoy breakfast and then take off to the park headquarters at Kinigi for a thorough briefing by the park warden. After the briefing, our tour guide will transfer you to the starting point of the gorilla trek. The trek may last from 1-8 hours depending on the movements of the gentle giants. On return, your driver will transfer you back to Kigali for drop off at your hotel or at the airport for a scheduled flight back home. This is where your safari will end.
