Emburara Farm Lodge is a 27 suite eco-luxury lodge built on a farm of long-horned Ankole cattle. It is situated near the main airstrip in Mbarara, South Western Uganda.
Our modern and fully equipped board room and conference facilities make this an ideal location for your company events. The former has a maximum capacity of 60 and the latter 170.
It offers experiential tours that give you an insight into the lives of the Ankole herdsmen.
Day 1: Pick up from the hotel/place of residence to Emburara farm lodge
After breakfast, you will be picked up by the driver from the hotel/place of residence to Emburara farm lodge, have a stopover at the equator for coffee and photos for memory experience then proceed to the lodge. On arrival you will be welcome by the staff and check into your reserved accommodation.

Day 2: Day on the farm
Emburara Farm Lodge is home to a herd of elegant long-horned Ankole cattle, a way of life, and pride of the Ankole people! You will rise early and gather at 6.45 am to walk to the farm. The morning walk in the fresh air is indeed refreshing! The farm guide will take you through the morning processes of milking, cleaning the cows, massaging them, and finally letting them out to pasture. Also, close by is our traditional house where you can experience and take part in processes like churning yogurt and ghee.
Return to the lodge for breakfast. Mid-morning you can relax in our picnic area as you wait for the afternoon activity of taking the cows to water. This is normally done between 12.00 and 1.00 pm depending on the weather and takes approximately one hour. Thereafter, return to the lodge and relax. You can play some outdoor games like volleyball, badminton or soccer, take a dip in the pool or relax in the steam bath and sauna. In the evening after dinner join the Ankole dancers for an evening of dance and poetry in the Ankole style!

Day 3: Travel back to Kampala
After breakfast, check out and travel back to Entebbe/Kampala with a stopover at the equator for lunch, purchase of souvenirs and photos moments.
